2023 Ukrainian Team Championship in Synchronized Swimming: Outstanding Achievements
From December 14 to 17, the Ukrainian team championship in synchronized swimming took place in Kyiv.
75 athletes from 8 teams representing Donetsk, Mykolaiv, Odesa regions, and Kyiv competed for the championship title.
The Odesa team included students from the Specialized Children and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve «Chornomorets» - Vladyslava Kocherba, Yelyzaveta Syedova, Sofia Sarukhanyan, and Yuliya Rerak.
Vladyslava Kocherba became a four-time champion of Ukraine, securing first places in technical, free, and acrobatic groups. She also won the championship among soloists in the technical program.
Vladyslava is part of the main national team of Ukraine.
Bronze medals in technical duets were won by Yuliya Rerak and Sofia Sarukhanyan, while Yelyzaveta Syedova and Yuliya Rerak took bronze in free duets.
Among soloists, Sofia Sarukhanyan earned silver medals in both the technical and free programs.
The athletes were trained by the honored coach of Ukraine, Olha Nikolaychuk.
