Odesa Medical Center's Ongoing Commitment to Blood Donation Amidst War
The team at the Primary Health Care Center No. 16 in Odesa continues to demonstrate unity and initiative during these challenging times.
On December 17, the staff, supported by the Odesa City Health Department, organized the thirteenth joint blood donation event as part of the «Donor Odesa» project.
Under the leadership of director Hanna Pavleha, a group of dedicated donors has formed within the facility, willingly contributing to the support of Ukraine's defenders and those in need of transfusions.
Seventeen employees from the PHC No. 16 participated in the blood donation. One donation can save up to three lives.
The demand for donor blood remains critically high since the onset of the full-scale war. Thanks to the «Donor Odesa» initiative, over 14,000 donations have been made, saving thousands of lives.
The city’s Department of Information is conducting ongoing campaigns to promote blood donation and inform about current needs, utilizing the Telegram channel «Odesa.Official» and the MISTO mobile app.
