Revival of Tram Route in Odesa
Efforts are underway in Odesa to restore tram route No. 18, linking Kulikove Pole to the Memorial of the 411th Battery.
The mayor of Odesa, Hennadii Trukhanov, met with the leadership of the housing cooperative «Morsky-1». Before the full-scale war, the cooperative committed to upgrading the tram turnaround loop at the 16th station of the Great Fountain, located near a residential complex under construction. However, due to the war, the cooperative has not yet been able to fulfill the agreement fully.
«An agreement has been reached with the management of the housing cooperative regarding joint participation in the construction of a temporary tram exit. The cooperative is procuring materials, while the municipal enterprise «Odesmiskelektrotrans» carries out all the work,» noted Mayor Hennadii Trukhanov.
Experts predict that it will take approximately two months to fully launch route No. 18. Currently, work has begun to clear the tracks from the 12th station of the Great Fountain to the Memorial of the 411th Battery of debris, branches, and weeds.
