Rainy Weather in Odesa: Flood Prevention Measures
In response to the ongoing heavy rains in Odesa, specialized teams are actively working to address potential flooding on the city's streets.
Currently, traffic conditions are clear. A total of 329 workers and 48 units of equipment are deployed across the streets.
During prolonged rains, such as today, special water pumping trucks, including a high-pressure hydrodynamic unit based on a MAN vehicle, are typically stationed on key streets: Balkivska, Prymorska, Yevhen Chykalenka, Heavenly Hundred, French Boulevard, and Customs Square, where flooding is often a concern.
Additionally, crews from the Municipal Enterprise 'City Roads' are on the streets, using excavators and manual methods to quickly clear storm drains and catch basins of debris, branches, and leaves washed in by rainwater.
