Odessa and Germany: Strengthening Collaborative Efforts
The Mayor of Odessa, Hennadiy Trukhanov, met with German politician Ralph Fuchs and Mari Luise Beck, the director for Eastern and Central Europe.
During the meeting, they discussed the current security and humanitarian situation in Odessa, the status of internally displaced persons, and international cooperation.
Energy issues and preparations for the upcoming heating season were also on the agenda.
In collaboration with the Centre for Liberal Modernity and the German GIZ agency, a project for the improvement of the "Against Oblivion" park is underway in Odessa. However, due to the ongoing war, the project has been paused, and the funds provided by German partners have been redirected to civilian needs, including generators and medical supplies.
The agency also delivered humanitarian aid to Odessa, including ambulances, pickups, and rescue kits.
Odessa expresses its gratitude to the German partners for their ongoing support.
