Charity Football Match for Ukraine's Military Intelligence
CHARITY MATCH: A football event supporting Ukrainian soldiers took place in the capital
On July 12, at the «Dynamo» stadium in Kyiv, stars of Ukrainian art, sports veterans, and military personnel gathered on the field for the charity match «MAGURA UNITED» in support of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine.
The primary goal of the event was to raise funds for the purchase of advanced MAGURA drones for intelligence operations.
Before the match commenced, the National Anthem of Ukraine was played, and a moment of silence was observed to honor those who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.
Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov expressed gratitude to the players for their support of the military's capabilities.
“Today, MAGURA is not just a marine drone; it represents Ukrainian innovative weaponry known worldwide for its successful combat operations. Recently, we officially recorded five milestones achieved by military intelligence through these drones. Thank you to everyone supporting MAGURA and helping to strengthen our country,” Budanov stated.
The first symbolic kick-off was performed by a special forces operative from the GUR “Group 13” with the call sign “Khan,” who is part of the unit using the latest marine drones.
The match featured two teams: “Formula of Victory” and “Artists of Ukraine Team,” comprising actors, athletes, TV presenters, musicians, volunteers, veterans, and military intelligence personnel. The teams were coached by Oleksandr Holovko and Oleksandr Hatskevych.
Participants included musicians and actors, as well as former football players who supported this initiative.
“During the fundraising campaign for new MAGURA drones, we have already collected over 30 million UAH. These funds will finance the production of MAGURA V7 strike drones and W6P reconnaissance versions. Thank you to everyone involved in the collection and the organization of the charity match. The fundraising continues,” said Diana Podolyanchuk, the head of the charity fund.
