Saved Eggs: A Fire Rescue Story in Odesa Region
On the outskirts of Ananiiv village, located in the Podilskyi district of Odesa region, a large fire burned through 1.5 hectares of dry grass.
According to the State Emergency Service, the flames were extinguished in time, preventing a larger spread of fire.
Amidst the ashes and charred land, a community rescue officer discovered bird nests, and to his astonishment, they contained intact eggs - a symbol of new beginnings.
The birds, fleeing from the flames, could not take them along. The rescuer carefully relocated the nests with the eggs to a safe area, giving these future chicks a chance at life.
This incident serves as a reminder of two realities: some individuals destroy nature, either intentionally or through indifference, by setting fire to the land, while others fight every day for the preservation of life.
