Fire Incident in Odessa District: Swift Response
Yesterday, in the Odessa district, just outside the Avangard village, a fire broke out in the dry vegetation.
This was reported by the State Emergency Service.
Due to strong winds, there was a risk of the fire spreading. A drone was used to conduct aerial reconnaissance and monitor the fire. The units operated under an elevated emergency call number.
The fire was successfully extinguished within a few hours, covering an area of about 25 hectares!
Fortunately, there were no injuries or fatalities.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
The State Emergency Service deployed 4 units of equipment and 15 firefighters, while the Citizens' Safety Center of the Avangard village council provided 3 units of equipment and 7 personnel, and the Ukrainian Voluntary Firefighters Association contributed 1 unit of equipment and 4 personnel.
