Preparing Urban Greenery for Winter in Odesa
The workers of the municipal enterprise «Miskzelentrest» have started preparing the city's greenery for the upcoming winter.
This autumn, Odesa plans to plant 1064 young trees, including white acacia, sycamore maple, common ash, Japanese sophora, and western plane. The planting will take place at locations where stumps have been removed, with 330 new saplings scheduled for planting.
The planting process is set to begin in early November.
Additionally, preparations are already underway for the greenhouses located in the «Troyanda» section, which operate year-round. Currently, seeds for annuals are being sown, firewood is being collected, and the greenhouses are being covered with plastic sheeting.
Starting in early November, the enterprise will begin winterizing the irrigation systems. There are about 50 such systems throughout the city, located in parks and squares.
