Christmas Tree Sales in Ukraine: Fresh Updates
The State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" has announced the commencement of Christmas tree sales, with approximately 10,000 trees already sold. According to the press service, this year they plan to sell around 140,000 coniferous trees. If demand increases, the enterprise is prepared to gather additional trees.
In the forests of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", there are 2.7 thousand hectares of special plantations growing 7.8 million Christmas trees.
"Prices for the trees remain affordable and have not changed significantly compared to last year – ranging from 210 to 250 UAH. For fir/spruce, prices range from 240 to 280 UAH," the statement reads.
It is noted that prices are slightly higher in the resource-scarce regions of the East and South, as well as near major cities (Dnipro, Odesa, Mykolaiv). The cheapest offers can be found in the forested areas of the North and Polissya (Volyn, Rivne, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv).
Additionally, some branches of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" are offering Christmas trees in containers, with prices starting from 500 UAH, depending on the size.
Trees can be purchased directly from the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine", without markup. Their branches organize retail sales at trading platforms, fairs, and local markets.
Furthermore, it should be emphasized that the Christmas trees sold by the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" are mandatory marked with tags bearing barcodes or self-adhesive labels, which confirm their legality and safety.
