On April 21, a high level of fire risk is forecasted in the Odessa region. Due to weather conditions, fire can spread rapidly in case of ignition. Meteorologists urge citizens to exercise extreme caution.

This was reported by the Hydrometeorological Center of the Black and Azov Seas.

"Weather conditions will favor a significantly increased likelihood of fires in ecosystems given the presence of ignition sources," the meteorologists stated.

Fire Risk in Odessa

According to meteorologists, the danger will persist and spread across nearly the entire territory of the Odessa region. A high level of danger has been declared in the following settlements:

  • Lyubashivka;
  • Zatyshia;
  • Surbka;
  • Rozdilna;
  • Sarata;
  • Bolhrad;
  • Vylkove;
  • Izmail.

Safety Rules During Fire Risk

To prevent fires, it is essential to follow these guidelines:

  • do not burn dry grass or leaves in your yard, as this can lead to uncontrolled fires;
  • avoid open flames near dry vegetation and buildings;
  • do not discard cigarette butts or matches onto dry underbrush;
  • do not visit forests at all, as there is a risk of encountering explosive devices contaminating vast areas of Ukraine.

If you spot a fire, immediately contact the Rescue Service at 101.

Experts emphasize that even a single spark in hot and windy weather can lead to a large-scale ecological disaster.
