Inclusive Summer Camp: New Opportunities for Children
The First Lady of Ukraine visited the inclusive summer camp «Cosmo Camp: A Space for Everyone», organized this year for the first time with financial support from the Olena Zelenska Foundation.
Olena Zelenska interacted with the children and their mentors, learned about the camp's program, and participated in various activities. The camp features exercises, workshops, creative sessions, and themed parties.
This summer, around one hundred children will enjoy the «Cosmo Camp», including those with disabilities, children who have lost one or both parents due to the war, and those who had to relocate to safer regions.
«The capability of a state is measured by the ability of its most vulnerable citizens. We strive to provide all necessary support to children with disabilities who require rehabilitation and special attention. This is part of the state's barrier-free strategy,» noted Olena Zelenska.
The NGO «See with Heart» has been organizing the «Cosmo Camp» since 2016, creating a safe inclusive space for children with diverse experiences and needs.
Psycho-social support for children, adolescents, and youth is a key priority for the Olena Zelenska Foundation. Within this framework, the Foundation has facilitated rehabilitation camps for over 700 children across various regions of the country.
