Honoring Ukraine's Heroes in Odesa
In Odesa, a solemn ceremony was held to commemorate the heroes who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of Ukraine, marking the 34th anniversary of the country's independence.
Attendees included representatives from local and regional authorities, community organizations, military personnel, veterans, clergy, and residents. A moment of silence was observed to honor the fallen, and gratitude was expressed to all who continue to defend Ukraine.
As part of the national celebration, state awards were presented for significant contributions to the fight for independence and defense of the country. The President of Ukraine awarded the «For the Defense of Ukraine» honor to Petro Senyak, an excavator operator from the Municipal Enterprise «City Roads,» who has participated several times in the construction of fortifications in the Donetsk region.
