Recognition of Border Guards for Bravery and Service
The border guards of the Izmail unit received church awards for their bravery and devoted service to Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the Southern Regional Office of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
The honorary medals of Saint George the Victorious were awarded to the soldiers of the rapid response border command of the Izmail unit.
Blessed by His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv, military chaplain Igumen Makariy held the awarding ceremony at the church of Saint Prince Volodymyr in Izmail. He presented the awards to the servicemen who showed bravery and dedication while defending Ukraine.
«The medal of Saint George the Victorious is a spiritual symbol of support, prayer, and blessing. Accept these awards with gratitude for your resilience, courage, and self-sacrifice. May the Lord protect you in service and grant you strength to overcome all challenges», — the chaplain addressed the servicemen.
