Young Figure Skaters from Odesa Shine at International Competitions
Young athletes from the Odesa region have showcased impressive results at an international figure skating competition!
The dance duo Tetyana Belododnova and Ivan Kachur, students of the skating school 'Kryzhynka', represented Odesa admirably at the first stage of the 'Junior Grand Prix' held in Riga (Latvia).
Under the guidance of coach Alona Kalamurza, the athletes delivered a stunning performance. Their elements, including twizzles, lifts, and spins, were rated at a high level 4 difficulty. The vibrant presentation and charisma of the duo captivated both judges and spectators alike.
In their free dance, Tetyana and Ivan scored 75.48 points, placing 6th.
With their combined scores from two performances, they secured 8th place overall with a total of 126.51 points.
This marks a debut at the Junior Grand Prix for 14-year-old Tetyana and 18-year-old Ivan, and it's an immediate success!
On August 27–30, the duo will represent Ukraine at the second stage of the competition in Turkey's capital, Ankara.
