Ukrainian Athletes Shine at the European Muay Thai Championship

From November 18 to 25, 2025, Athens, Greece, hosted the remarkable European Muay Thai Championship.

A total of 536 athletes from 46 countries participated in the event.

The Ukrainian national team featured athletes from the Children's and Youth Sports Schools No. 7 and No. 16 from Odesa.

In the 'wai kru' category, the champions were Ivan Rasputnyi, Anastasia Yevtushenko, and Iryna Ladynenko (all from CYSS No. 7), while Valeriy Denysov (CYSS No. 16) secured a silver medal.

Among athletes aged 12-13, Diana Savotina emerged as the champion, defeating Polish athlete Sandra Kazimierska in the final, and Ivan Rasputnyi took home a bronze medal.

In the 14-15 age group, athletes from CYSS No. 7 also earned two silver medals, with Kyrylo Berezovskyi and Yelyzaveta Velikova becoming prize-winners.

In the U-23 category, the European champion title was claimed by Elina Perstniova (CYSS No. 16).

Moreover, athletes from CYSS No. 7 excelled in the adult competitions, with Mykhailo Serdiuk and Bohdan Studnev becoming champions, while Nikita Kuts and Dmytro Zanин earned bronze medals.

The athletes were trained by coaches: Hanna Yevtushenko, Volodymyr Pishenin, Liliia Shapoval, Hanna Avakova, Mykhailo Mitaki, Andrii Vakaraш (CYSS No. 7) and Maksym Neledva (CYSS No. 16).
