Nikita Sheremet Sets Junior World Record at European Swimming Championship
Odesa swimmer Nikita Sheremet, during his performance with the national team of Ukraine at the European Swimming Championship, set a junior world record in the final of the 4x50 freestyle relay with a time of 20.84.
This success at the short course (25 m) event in Lublin continues Nikita's series of record achievements in 2025.
In August at the junior world championship in swimming in Otopeni, Romania, he won gold in the 50 m freestyle with a time of 21.75 (in a 50 m pool), equaling the junior world record set by American Michael Andrew, while also establishing a competition and national record.
Nikita Sheremet is a graduate of the Odesa Specialized Children's and Youth Sports School of Olympic Reserve 'Dynamo' swimming. His coaches are Alla Timofeeva and Aleksandra Kurbanova.
