Infrastructure Upgrades in Odessa Residential Buildings
In 2024, the communal enterprise «Housing and Communal Service «Fontansky» undertook comprehensive repairs of structural elements and engineering systems in its buildings.
A total of 1245 resident requests were processed.
At the request of residents, the specialists completed the following works: roof repairs covering 14820 sq.m; restoration of water supply networks extending 3540 m; repairs to drainage systems measuring 2275 m; replacement and repair of downpipes totaling 1810 m; electrical installation works (replacement of cables, inspection, and repair of electric panels) were performed in 231 buildings, with a total of 5865 m of wires replaced.
In preparation for the heating season, current repairs to the central heating systems were conducted in 156 residential buildings, covering a length of 1115 m, along with the replacement of 89 cast iron valves.
Employees also participated in eliminating the consequences of enemy attacks, conducting damage assessments. Damaged windows were covered with film, and in some cases, special equipment was utilized. The roof at 8b Shevchenko Avenue was completely renovated, covering an area of 850 sq.m.
Additionally, specialists conducted numerous general construction works, such as installing doors in basements, filling voids, repairing entrance groups, fortifying gates, painting entrance doors, and more.
Every day, the janitors maintain order in the adjacent territories, performing cleaning, sweeping, and garbage disposal tasks.
Moreover, utility workers handle grass cutting, tree trimming, leaf cleaning, and care for flower beds and lawns under their management.
During winter preparations, an additional 97 tons of sand-salt mixture and 60 snow removal tools were procured.
